This series is well known for their mildly increased size and larger Nerf darts. It’s the main feature that sets them apart from every other series. They’re also tactical in nature which should come to no surprise being that they’re within the N-Strike family tree, however, they do have their own distinct visual elements.

All of the blasters in this series follow a similar color palette with the exception of a few Nerf guns like the MotoStryke and Megalodon which have digi-camo integrated into their design.

HIGHLIGHTED FEATURE FOR NERF MEGA BLASTERS

The Mega series has a range of between 85 to 100 ft. depending on the gun. At the time this series was released 100 ft. was impressive, however, there are other families of blasters today that can match or exceed those numbers (Ultra, Elite 2.0). Regardless, I wouldn’t sell them short. FULLY AUTOMATIC MEGA NERF GUN

The Mastodon is a fully automatic Nerf gun that’s fed by a 24 round rotating drum. This is a larger blaster and will require both hands to operate, although the sling does help to stabilize for consistency. Also, the gun has an above average load capacity, therefore it will take longer to reload due to the quantity and having to load the ammo one at a time. Moreover, 24 rounds will keep you in the action longer if you’re able to keep the rate of fire under control.

HIGH CAPACITY MEGA NERF GUN

The Megalodon is another high capacity Nerf gun that will hold up to 20 rounds. It uses a rotating cylinder as a fed mechanism and has two modes of delivery, single fire and slam-fire. Single fire will produce a controlled rate of fire while slam-fire is better utilized for fast bursts. Also, this blaster has an above average mobility rating due to the compact design.

MEGA SERIES HIGH CAPACITY MAG

The Motostryke is a motorized Nerf gun that uses an internal flywheel system that’s initiated by an acceleration button. It’s fed by a 10 round magazine and offers a semi-automatic mode of delivery. Moreover, the gun is capable of achieving higher rates of fire, although a controlled cycle is where the MotoStryke excels. Also, the larger size is noticeable in relation to other blasters, however it still maintains a fairly good mobility rating.

NERF MEGA SNIPER RIFLE

The Centurion is a sniper style Nerf gun that was designed for the master of precision. The bolt-action primer offers a smooth priming cycle, although the gun does have a lowered rate of fire due to its single shot firing mode, therefore a sidearm is recommended. MEGA ELITE NERF DARTS

This series is compatible with two different types of Nerf darts, Mega, which is the original ammo for this series and the most commonly used and AccuStrike.
