NERF ACCUTROOPER TACTICAL FEATURES
The AccuTrooper is a pump-action Nerf gun that’s fed by a 25 round drum and has two modes of fire, single fire & slam-fire. It has a should stock that’s removable if desired and a N-Strike barrel attachment point. This gun does have a decreased mobility rating due to its size and operation but gains some ground with a higher than average ammo capacity and rate of fire.
SLING POINTS & TACTICAL RAILS
There are multiple sling points located on this Nerf gun. I found two to be best suited for the job, the first is located on stock and the other is located on the bottom of the grip. RELOADING THE ACCUTROOPER
This is a magazine fed Nerf gun, so the reload process is rather fast. Suppress the mag release that’s located right in front of the trigger on the frame of the mag well. This can be done with the same finger used to pull the trigger and activates in real time. Pull down on the clip to disengage it and pop a fresh mag in.
RELOADING NERF DARTS INTO MAGAZINES
This is the part of the process that’s time consuming. I would recommend purchasing at least one backup magazine to keep you in the action longer. Furthermore, spend some time reloading the drum for practice. THIS ACCUTROOPER HAS AN AVERAGE CYCLE TIME
The Accutrooper has two firing modes, single fire & slam-fire. Both modes are viable and produce different results. To cycle the Nerf gun, pull the front grip back towards the mag and than forward to it’s primed position. Pull the trigger to fire a single round. Single fire will give you a slower rate of fire but a more accurate shot pattern.
USING SLAM-FIRE MODE LIKE A PRO
Slam-fire mode has its advantages, however, it will take some practice to keep the Nerf gun under control. Luckily the gun has a shoulder stock to aid with stability so make sure you use it. Rest it tight against your shoulder and keep it tight. ACCUSTRIKE NERF GUNS WERE DESIGNED FOR ACCURACY
The AccuTrooper is capable of firing any type of N-Strike Nerf darts and this includes the most commonly used blue darts with the orange tips. However, I would recommend using the Accustrike darts that come with this gun because they seem to perform the best.
SWITCHING OUT NERF DARTS
Another recommended tactic is to carry an additional mags full of a different styles of Nerf darts. MY THOUGHTS ON THE ACCUTROOPER
Overall the Nerf Accutrooper gets the job done. It doesn’t really have a key role on the battlefield, however, I did find that it performed best when there was some distance between me and my opponents. This allowed me to change my rate of fire when appropriate from precision shots to a hailstorm of cover fire. So if you like being up in the mix, this Nerf gun might not be a good fit for you. It just doesn’t perform as well as other guns in tight areas.
The tactical rails are nice if you like options but I felt the sling points added a little more value.
